Within the frame of the celebrations on 23 April International Children’s Festival, Khairpur Branch held a sequence of colourful and impressive activities.  

Ms Shabana Amir, the stage secretary, briefed the audience about the history and significance of the 23 April International Children’s Festival. Four student representatives aged 8-11 who were elected by their class-fellows were asked about what they would do if they were elected the President, Prime Minister and Minister for Education. Students’ replies drew cheer, applauds and wholehearted laugher from the audience.  

Following this introduction, the following competitions and contests were held:  

Inter-School Peace and Fraternity Painting Contest  

Total sixty art works from five schools in Khairpur/Sukkur District participated to this contest. A select jury comprising of local education officials and eminent educationists had a hard time selecting the best work among many high-quality entries.  
Uroosa Zahra Shaikh of Kehkeshan School won the Best Award in the competition.  

Inter-School Peace and Fraternity Drama Contest  


Students from five schools from Khairpur/Sukkur District participated to this contest which was evaluated by the eminent jury comprising of local education officials and eminent educationists.  

Total eight stage-plays competed with one another and consequently the play titled “VR1,” staged by Class 2 students of the PakTurk Khairpur Branch won the Best Drama Award.  

Inter-Class Decoration Competition  

A jury comprising of PakTurk Khairpur Branch teachers elected the top three Best Decorated Classrooms.  

Awards for the winners were conferred by the District Accounts Officer and other eminent officials.  

The programme was concluded with the catering of the Student Meals by the Sukkur KFC outlet which opened up a stall at PakTurk Khairpur Branch exclusively for this occasion.
