Within the frame of its Eid’ul Azha philanthropy campaign, PAKTURK ICEF sacrificed 4000 qurbani animals in nine locations, i.e. Islamabad, Karachi, Khairpur Mirs, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, Bagh, and Muzaffarabad and handed out meat packets to 40,000 underprivileged and needy families. Through the voluntary services rendered by the teaching/administrative staff and parents of the PAKTURK International Schools & Colleges, which caters to thousands of Pakistani children and youth through quality education since 1995, Turkish philanthropists from Turkey, Germany and many other European countries paid a visit to Pakistan to spend the Eid with their Pakistani brothers and sisters and to sacrifice Qurbani animals exclusively for the people living in earthquake-affected regions in the AJK and NWFP. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Ismail Nazli, Chairman-Country Representative PAKTURK ICEF, lauded the selfless services rendered in unison by the teachers and parents of the PAKTURK educational institutions in making the Eid’ul Azha Programme a success in terms of swift and deserving distribution to the disadvantaged and the underprivileged. Mr Nazli also mentioned that the devastating memory of the 8 October 2005 Earthquake was still fresh in the public opinion of Turkish people across the globe and hence such philanthropic people from 24 different countries such as Japan, Greece, and Italy endorsed PAKTURK ICEF to sacrifice their Qurbanis in Pakistan for their Pakistani brothers and sisters. The first day of the Eid’ul Azha saw Pakistani and Turkish philanthropists/business people from 8 different countries organise and render the tasks of sacrifice and meat distribution. Turkish people from 50 cities of Turkey contributed with thousands of their Qurbanis to be sacrificed and distributed by the PAKTURK ICEF. On occasion of Qurbani meat-packet distribution across the country, PAKTURK ICEF also got into collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Education, and the Provincial Ministries of Education to spot the families in need with school-going children. ![]() |
